Herceg GmbH: a WordPress website with content management for concrete cutting
Herceg GmbH in Bruchsal drills, saws and cuts concrete for building contractors, industry and private clients. In 2015, NK IT Service replaced the company's Jimdo site-builder pages with a WordPress website and content management system that stayed online until at least January 2025.

Herceg GmbH
Herceg GmbH is a specialist contractor for concrete cutting (drilling, sawing and separating concrete with diamond tools) based in Bruchsal, Baden-Württemberg. Its range covers nine services: core drilling, concrete sawing, wire sawing, concrete demolition, balcony removal, joint cutting, anchor drilling, rebar detection and floor grinding. Clients include building contractors, industrial firms, commercial businesses and private property owners. The company is rooted in the Karlsruhe area and works with specialist partners across Germany.
Founded in 1990, the business has traded as a GmbH since 2014 and has operated since then from new premises with offices, warehouse and workshop. It is a member of the German association for concrete drilling and sawing (Fachverband Betonbohren und -sägen Deutschland e.V.) and holds the association's Q-Zeichen quality mark, by its own account as one of the first companies in the sector. The partner firm BTT Betontrenntechnik in Landau complements the Bruchsal site. The company also has a dedicated page on training as a Bauwerksmechaniker (construction mechanic).
Brief and build
As late as December 2014, herceg-gmbh.de was still running on the Jimdo site builder. The company needed a business website that presents its services clearly to industrial and private clients and that the team could update themselves without any programming. WordPress covers this with its content management system (CMS – the interface in which texts, images and contact details are maintained without touching the code); a contact form handled enquiries.
In 2015, NK IT Service took on the web design and built the site on WordPress. The purchased BuildPress theme (a theme is the design framework of a WordPress site) served as the design basis. Herceg's customisations lived in a child theme (a derived theme that keeps your own changes separate from the original), so the parent theme could be updated without losing those changes.
Page content was laid out with the SiteOrigin Page Builder, a plugin (an add-on for WordPress) for arranging content in modular blocks; the Essential Grid and Simple Lightbox plugins provided image grids and enlarged views. Enquiries arrived through a contact form built with Contact Form 7, and the Cookie Notice plugin displayed a notice about cookies. The page title led with the core services: concrete sawing, concrete drilling, wire sawing and joint cutting.
According to the web archive (Internet Archive), the 2015 version stayed online until at least January 2025 and credited NK IT Service in the footer (the strip at the bottom of every page), with logo and link. The current website is a 2025 rebuild; the screenshots on this page show that current state.
