From an office at Baden-Airpark to AI development
It all began in 2006 with an office at Baden-Airpark and our first business clients – some of whom we still look after today. Step by step, the specialist for travel agencies became the IT and web partner for the whole region. The most important milestones of the past 20 years:
The start at Baden-Airpark
NK IT Service starts with its own office at Baden-Airpark – specialising in support for travel agencies. The first business relationships are formed there, and some of them still exist today. Computer and IT service is part of the offering from day one.
Moving into web design
We build our first websites with content management systems such as WordPress, TYPO3, Joomla and Sefrengo – so clients can maintain their own content without needing an agency for every change.
Own web servers & hosting
Our own web hosting goes live: from the outset we host our clients on our own web servers – website, hosting and maintenance all sit with one responsible party, with no handovers between several providers.
Growth on the web
A tour operator joins as a client and our hosting portfolio grows to more than 400 domains – the basis for the hosting business as it still stands today.
Move to the Rastatt business incubator
We move into new premises at the business incubator in Rastatt – more room for equipment, workshop and client meetings, right in the middle of the town we work for.
Launch of the repair service
We extend our computer service to include repairs: from now on PCs, laptops, smartphones and tablets are repaired in our own workshop – with an honest diagnosis and a fixed price.
Telematics infrastructure – among the first
We are one of the first in the region to be certified for the telematics infrastructure (TI), installing and replacing connectors on behalf of gematik, CGM and Telekonnekt – on site in medical practices, pharmacies and hospitals.
Remote working & home office
The pandemic puts working from home centre stage: we set up virtual workstations for our clients, implement server-client solutions and provide complete virtual environments.
Full move into AI
Artificial intelligence becomes a core focus: we develop AI-supported processes and bespoke software for clients – tailored to each individual business.
20 years of NK IT Service
We celebrate our 20th anniversary and are proud of the many clients we have won from our base in Rastatt – and of everyone who has come along the way with us.
