Where are the servers located?
Exclusively in Germany, in certified data centres under German data protection law. Neither your data nor your customers' data leaves the EU. On request you receive a data processing agreement (DPA) – an important part of GDPR compliance.
Can you migrate my existing website?
Yes, and normally without any downtime. We transfer the website, database and e-mail to our servers, test everything on a preview system and only then go live. You do not have to do a thing – the move runs in the background.
How long does a move to you take?
Usually a few working days, depending on the size of the website and how quickly your current provider responds. The domain transfer itself is normally done within 24 hours once we have the auth code. Important: your website stays reachable throughout the move – we only switch over once everything has been checked.
Do I keep my domain and e-mail addresses when I switch?
Yes, both stay exactly as they are. The domain is transferred to us using the auth code from your previous provider, and we move your e-mail accounts across including their contents. Nothing changes for visitors or for the people who write to you – address and mailboxes keep working as before.
What does hosting cost at NK IT Service?
As a guide: packages start at around €9 per month, and larger setups with more storage and priority support cost more. The exact price depends on the storage you need, the number of mailboxes and the level of service – we prepare a tailored quote with no hidden costs and no tariff maze.
Would a 2-euro hosting plan not do the job?
For a hobby project: possibly. For a business website, cheap plans save in the wrong places – overcrowded servers, no real support, backups only at extra cost. If the website is meant to win customers, one hour of downtime or a single data loss quickly costs more than years of the price difference. The honest answer: it depends on what your website means for your business.
Are SSL and backups included?
Yes. SSL encryption (the padlock symbol in the browser) and daily automatic backups are standard with us, at no extra charge. Backups are stored separately so that your website can be restored quickly if the worst happens.
Do I also get professional e-mail addresses?
Yes. You get e-mail accounts on your own domain (for example name@your-company.de), accessible via webmail, Outlook or your phone. With SPF, DKIM and DMARC we make sure your messages arrive reliably and are not flagged as spam.
What happens in the event of an outage or an attack?
Our own 24/7 monitoring usually detects outages and anomalies straight away – often before you notice anything. A firewall, hardening and separately stored backups protect you against the most common attacks, and if the worst happens we get everything running again quickly.
Are there long contract terms?
No. We work with short terms and transparent conditions instead of lock-in contracts. Clients should stay because the service is right – not because a contract holds them. We set out the details openly in the quote, before you decide.
