When is it an emergency?

When IT stops, every minute counts

Some faults can wait – these cannot. In the following cases, do not spend time experimenting yourself; pick up the phone straight away.

Encryption & ransomware

Files can no longer be opened, a ransom demand appears on screen? That is an acute security incident.

  • Blackmail message on screen
  • Files suddenly unusable
  • Unfamiliar file extensions everywhere

Server or network down

Nobody can log in, the server is not responding, the network is dead – and the whole business grinds to a halt.

  • Server unreachable
  • No network or internet access
  • Nobody can work any more

Data loss & faulty drives

Important files are gone, the hard disk is clicking or is no longer recognised. Now it comes down to acting fast and correctly.

  • Clicking or silent hard disk
  • Accidentally deleted files
  • Drive no longer recognised

Suspected attack or infection

Odd emails have been opened, a virus scanner is raising the alarm or your accounts are behaving strangely? Better to call once too often.

  • Warning from the virus scanner
  • Suspicious email attachment opened
  • Unusual activity in accounts
Immediate steps

What to do in an emergency – and what not to do

The first few minutes often decide how much can be saved. These steps help you keep the damage small until we take over.

Stay calm

Take a moment to breathe. Acting in haste – restarts, deleting, repair attempts of your own – often makes an emergency worse than it is. You are not on your own.

Disconnect the affected device, do not switch it off

If files are encrypted or a virus is suspected, unplug the network cable or switch off Wi-Fi so that nothing spreads any further. With a clicking or damaged hard disk the opposite applies: switch it off at once and stop using it.

Do not overwrite or “repair” anything

Do not install recovery tools and do not run repair wizards – after a hardware fault or an attack they often overwrite exactly what we could still have recovered.

Note down the situation

Briefly write down what has happened: which devices are affected, since when, which message appears? This information helps us assess on the phone straight away what needs to be done.

Call us – we take over

Call our hotline. We go through the first steps with you, connect by remote support (TeamViewer) or come to you on site from Rastatt.

Do not pay any ransom Do not let a clicking disk keep running Do not delete or reinstall anything
How we help

Fast, orderly, honest

In an emergency you do not need promises, you need someone who gets to work and tells you plainly where you stand. That is exactly what we do.

Fast response

One call is enough. We record your emergency straight away, assess the situation with you and tell you what happens next – without an endless loop of hold music.

Remote support or on site

We can often connect to your system directly via TeamViewer and step in immediately. Where that is not enough, we are close by and with you in person quickly.

Contain the damage & secure data

We isolate affected systems, stop the spread and back up whatever can still be backed up – before anything is restored or rebuilt.

Orderly recovery

Recovering data, rebuilding systems cleanly, closing gaps: we bring your IT back into service step by step – and discuss how to avoid the next emergency.

An honest word

What we promise – and what we do not

In an emergency, trust matters more than any advertising promise. So we say it as it is.

We respond to your emergency call as quickly as possible and do everything to get your IT running again. What we do not promise are unrealistic guarantees: whether encrypted or lost data can be fully recovered depends on the individual case – on what has happened and what was done beforehand. We take a look and tell you honestly what the chances are before any costs arise.

We cannot guarantee a fixed response time in minutes on this page – it depends on the time of day, our workload and the type of emergency. We are happy to set binding response times in a maintenance contract tailored to your business. Just ask us about it.

Frequently asked questions

IT emergencies – answered briefly

The key questions about IT emergencies. When it counts: call first, then act.

How quickly do you respond to an IT emergency?
We respond as quickly as possible. We are based in Rastatt and close by, so we usually connect by remote support right after your call or come to you on site. A fixed response time in minutes depends on the time of day, our workload and the type of emergency – binding times are set out in a maintenance contract.
What should I do straight away in case of encryption or ransomware?
Stay calm, disconnect the affected device from the network (unplug the cable or switch off Wi-Fi), but do not turn it off. Do not pay any ransom, do not delete anything and do not reinstall anything. Then call our hotline immediately – we contain the damage and back up whatever can be backed up.
Can you recover encrypted or deleted data?
Often yes – but it depends on the individual case: on what has happened and what was done beforehand. We assess the situation and tell you honestly what the chances are before any costs arise. Important: switch off a clicking hard disk at once and stop using it.
Do you help remotely or only on site?
Both. We can often connect to your system directly via TeamViewer and step in immediately. Where that is not enough, we are with you in person quickly from Rastatt – in Rastatt, Baden-Baden, Karlsruhe and the surrounding area.

In an emergency we are there for you.

Pick up the phone – or tell us briefly online what has happened. We will get back to you as quickly as possible.
